Luxury villa

Located in the wonderful Pinus halepensis forest of Ibiza, this garden is spread over a total area of three hectares.

The owners’ will to create something unique in the whole panorama of the Balearic Islands has been combined with my garden philosophy, giving life to a luxury villa for special holidays.

The different environments gave us the possibility to create a garden with rooms to explore, never the same but always well integrated into the context. Hundreds of specimens of Pistacia lentiscus were used to create continuity with the splendid undergrowth based on Myrtus communis, Cistus albidus, Erica arborea and the aforementioned Pistacia lentiscus.

Test areas have been created in due time to evaluate the development without irrigation system of many grasses, future hosts of the more perimeter areas of the park. In the photos, plants of Festuca mairei have excellently passed the first year without any irrigation contribution.

A wonderful sinuous mantle of Zoysia tenuifolia develops around the pool, close to full development and absolutely fun to step on. To get good coverage, you need to wait a year. The result will be surprising because depending on the cutting height, it will be possible or not to maintain the bearing shapes with a low irrigation input.

Tropical gardens, Mediterranean scrubs, grasslands, natural garrigue and other ecosystems have been created specifically to make the experience unique and ensure that a garden can be remembered for generations.
